Duff has finally figured out what he is going to do. He isn't going to overthrow Bruce. Instead he is planning on targeting all hybrids first. "All hybrids within the Ailamina will be exterminated!" Duff decrees to his kingdom.
Little did Duff know that the hybrids would run to Bruce for safety. Someone had told Fenella what was going down. Fenella calls a royal meeting with Ailamina. "Our loyal subjects, we are at a crossroads. Duff's plans to exterminate all the hybrids here is a threat to us all. We must stand together to protect those that can't protect themselves!"
